“Why don’t I have a bath with my clothes on?”, Davit Bleyan begins his talk with the morning bath.
“I don’t know, tell me …”
“You take my clothes off, so you should tell me.”
“When I take your clothes off, don’t let me do so. You don’t do many things that you don’t want want to do, do you?”
Davit begins laughing.
“What will happen if I have a bath with my clothes on?”
“With your dirty or clean clothes on?”
“Ara (a familiar slang way of addressing among boys in Yerevan) when are my clothes clean at home?”, and begins laughing again
“The water in the bath will become dirty, your clothes will get wet and stick to your body, you won’t be able to move freely… you may take a shower with your hat on?”

“Will my hat get foamy if I use shampoo?”, he laughs again and adds, “Clothes have their own bathroom, the washing machine. Let Mother bathe them.”
I am calling Mother…. Davit Bleyan decisively doesn’t allow his mother to come into the bathroom when he is having a bath.
“Go out, you may come and bathe the dirty clothes afterwards.”
Sure enough, when we, boys, are talking on universal topics in the bathroom, women should mind their own business.

Davit was strongly impressed by his sister Tatev’s, headmistress of the School-garden, reproach: “Why don’t you have your nails cut? Have them cut at home and then come to school.”
“My hand or feet nails?”, asked he.
He had his nails cut diligently at home…
“Let Arevik’s mother see and get happy.”

The first stage of the admission to the higher educational institutions of Armenia is over, and the second stage has started, and those who haven’t been competitive will be reregistered and admitted… In September the third stage will start which will be correspondence courses on many specialties. The same diploma is given… and there still be left thousands of vacant places…Will this put an end to the public concerns about preparing future specialists? Years ago I publicly announced that there is no problem for anyone who is able to pay tuition fees and be called a student. Don’t you agree? If not, let me know. Nobody responded. There can’t be any arguments about it. I begin speaking when chaos, wasting nation’s energy, is over. My diary is a convenient place for my speech during a day, day by day.

Now the rain rewarded us with its revelation: you are welcome, element, stay for a bit longer, wet the country of Armenia; you are being waited for everywhere.

Haik Grigoryan and his mother visited Fine Art High School and Media Center yesterday. They were happy as Haik has been admitted to the directing faculty of the State Institute of Cinematography and Theatre with a scholarship which frees him from paying tuition fees and grants him postponement of military service for four years. Haik deserves the biggest success as he creates his achievements by himself. You should have seen Haik and his mother’s embarrassment when they learned that he was already a student but they were still unaware of the scholarship and military service postponement. What a close system of admission it is! Haik has been drawing, sculpting, acting, making animations in our Fine Art High School with great devotion for three years, and also has successfully taken part in a dozen creative festivals. Thanks to www.mskh.am and Haik’s blog the artistic path made by Haik is seen to all of us and first of all to Haik’s teachers, Knarik Nersisyan, Arman Grigoryan. How could possibly this Haik be not chosen as, for example, Eliza Baghdiyan wasn’t chosen because of a meaningless half of a score having not been assigned to her? That’s the point. I wish it were an exception. Follow my diary.

Arthur Shahverdyan fully deserves the triumph he is in. I am sure hundreds of such dramas have been performed throughout Armenia with tragic and happy endings: between tuition fees and scholarships giving right for free education, mandatory military service at the age of 18 and its postponement for four years.

I am writing and telling about this as I continue following Haik and his friends’ success for I also have my modest contribution to their achievements. They are all Sebastatsies, and my job is to be responsible for them. I am also responsible for those who are not Sebastatsies as they are all in my life.
