The Georgians in Tbilisi concretize Everything we say concerning the New Year: the way one celebrates the 2nd of January, he spends the whole year in the same way… And on the 2nd of January we were in Georgi Momtselidze’s warm, hot and friendly-welcoming house with an evening wander about Tbilisi, which is my passion, with а double ride in the ropeway as I had promised Davit. The highlight of the day was khash (a national dish made of beef legs) with my Georgian friends David, Giorgi, Tedo and Vakhtang, who are Giorgi’s inseparable friends, “Khash for Lazy People” in one of the most famous and honorable khash-restaurants of Tbilisi… Why for “lazy people”, because one can enjoy eating it here all day long… Whereas,according to the tradition which is the same both in Tbilisi and Yerevan, khash shouldn’t see the day light (means it is to be eaten at dawn)… Only a lazy person can afford a deviation from this tradition… I ate two portions and it remained in my memory as the most delicious, the most interesting and the friendliest khash, when the khash-restaurant had united friends and strangers, a Jew, an Armenian, a Georgian in a new communicative environment with vodka distilled by Tedo and Vakhtang specially for khash and listening to Armenian and Georgian songs ordered in our honor under the accompaniment of the Georgian national musical instrument organi.… Do you realize now how I started January 2, 2016?
